Who we are

Dunjali is run by Karam Schama, Dunjali (sole proprietorship), Weißrosenstraße 12, 78532 Tuttlingen, Germany. Details are in the legal notice.

Who sells to you

Each item is sold by an independent seller named on the product page, and your purchase contract is with that seller. If the seller shown is Dunjali, your contract is with us.

Every seller is a registered business, never a private person, so your consumer rights apply in full. We check every seller's registration before accepting them and review every listing before it goes live.

Dunjali acts as the intermediary: we run the store, take payment on the seller's behalf, and pass your messages, returns and withdrawals on to the seller.

How an order is placed

A product shown in the store is not a binding offer but an invitation to order.

You add items to your bag; at checkout you enter your address and payment method and see the full order summary. Before you send it, you can fix any mistake by going back to your bag or editing the fields. When you pay by card, the payment step shows the summary again (items, shipping, delivery address and delivery time), and «Change order» takes you back to the form with your details kept.

Right above the final buy button we refer to these terms, the withdrawal notice and the privacy policy. By pressing the final buy button you place a binding order. The contract is made when we confirm your order by email on the seller's behalf.

We save your order and email you a contract confirmation with the order (items, shipping, delivery address, payment method, expected delivery and each seller's name and address), these terms, the withdrawal notice and the model form. Your past orders are in My orders, and these terms are always on this page. Contract languages: Arabic, English and German.

Prices and payment

The price shown includes VAT where it applies, and nothing is added at checkout. Shipping costs are shown before you pay. A parcel from outside your country may be charged import taxes, customs duties or the courier's clearance fees on delivery, which you pay (see «Delivery»). In the US, prices are shown without sales tax and we don't collect it at present; depending on your state, you may owe use tax yourself. For goods sold by weight or volume we show the unit price next to the price where the seller gives the quantity.

We may show prices as an estimate in your own currency. You are charged the amount shown at checkout in the market's currency (such as US dollars or euros); your bank converts it at its own rate, so your statement may differ slightly.

No fake discounts: the “was” price is the lowest price the item was offered at in the 30 days before the reduction. Euro and pound prices are checked in their own currency; others are converted from the Saudi riyal price.

The payment methods available are shown at checkout.

Delivery

We show the delivery time before you pay; it is an estimate: weather, carrier problems or disruptions on the route can delay a parcel by a few days. If your order doesn't arrive, you get a full refund. Your statutory rights for late or missing delivery stay unaffected.

If your order comes from outside your country, import taxes (such as import VAT), customs duties or the courier's clearance and handling fees may be charged on delivery. You pay them to the courier; they are not in our price, and we point them out before you pay.

In each country we only offer products allowed into it. If an item is out of stock at the usual warehouse, we may ship it from another one; the delivery time shown before you pay is that warehouse's. We don't sell to sanctioned countries or to a few small territories.

Withdrawal, returns and warranty

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (in the UK, the right to cancel); details and the model form are on the Right of withdrawal page. Elsewhere you have it where your local law grants it.

On top of that you get 30 days to return items (see Returns and refunds). This is voluntary and never limits your statutory rights.

One exception in the United States: items sold by Dunjali itself and delivered to a US address can be returned only if damaged, defective, wrong or not as described, not for change of mind or size; if an order never arrives we refund you in full. We show this on the product page and in the cart before you buy.

Statutory warranty rights apply against the seller (in the EU at least two years for new goods).

Reviews

Only an account that bought and received an item can review it, once per item; we check this against the order, and «Verified buyer» means exactly that. We never accept paid or rewarded reviews, and we remove reviews that break these rules. Every review has «Report this review».

How results are ordered

Search results are ordered by how well your words match an item, weighted most to least: name, then category, then seller name, then colour, then description. Category pages follow an order our team sets, Deals the size of the discount, “Under a price” the rating, and Popular the number of reviews. Our team picks the first items in the Deals and Our picks rows on the home page.

No seller can pay for a higher position. If we ever show ads, they will be labelled “Ad”.

What isn't allowed and how we moderate

Not allowed: illegal products or content, counterfeits, unsafe items or items banned in the delivery country, misleading or fraudulent listings, and any content that abuses children. Until we have an age check, we don't sell alcoholic drinks, tobacco or e-cigarettes anywhere, nor knives to the UK.

We vet every seller before accepting them, and a person on our team reviews every listing before it goes live. Automatic checks (import rules, safety and banned words) help the reviewer, but a person decides.

What we can do: refuse or remove a listing, restrict a seller (fewer listings or slower payouts), or suspend or close an account. Everyone affected gets the decision with its reasons and how to contest it.

Reporting a listing, review or seller page

Anyone can report a listing with “Report this product” on its page, a review with “Report this review”, and a seller's page with “Report this seller page”. We confirm receipt, decide promptly and tell you the outcome. We never tell the seller who you are.

If you disagree with our decision, reply to the decision email within six months and another person on our team will review it. You may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, or to the courts.

Your account

Keep your password secret. We may suspend accounts used for fraud or fake reviews, and we tell you why.

Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaching essential contractual duties, meaning duties without which the contract cannot be performed and on which you may regularly rely, limited to the damage typically foreseeable.

Applicable law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

If the Arabic, English and German versions differ, the version in the language you ordered in prevails, otherwise the English one. We may change these terms for the future. An order you have placed keeps the terms that applied on the day you ordered.
