Will your phone fit in a crossbody bag? How to check before you buy
Last updated:
Measure your phone with its case on, then compare it with the bag's zip or flap opening and its inside width and height. Leave a little room for your fingers. The outside size of a bag and the size of its package can't tell you this on their own.
Measure your phone first
- Keep the case on: that's what has to go through the opening.
- Measure the height, the width and the thickness at the widest point, camera bump included.
- Add anything that stays on the phone, such as a ring holder or a card wallet.
Then check three things on the bag
- The opening: a zip that stops short of the corners, or a small flap, can be narrower than the inside of the bag.
- The inside height and width: the outside size includes the lining, the seams and any padding.
- The depth: a slim bag may take the phone, but not the phone with keys and a wallet.
What the size on a product page means
Read the label next to the number. A package size is the parcel it ships in, so it isn't the inside of the product. If a page gives only a package size, treat it as a rough guide, and ask us before you order if the fit matters to you.
